WELCOME TO VFW POST 4031

Teamwork ~ Leadership ~ Commitment. Veterans Helping Veterans.
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we, at VFW Post 4031, want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks and become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Vietnam, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace. We are dedicated to support of our most important National Asset.... our veterans. Please join us and contribute to our efforts to support our local veterans and their families. We are Veterans helping Veterans.

Commander's Corner

Commander David Latham

I would like to personally welcome all our new Post members and the the new members of our Auxiliary to our fold. This Post is nothing without our new members. We would like to have all our new folks to seek out opportunities to volunteer and make a difference. We have so many opportunities for people to volunteer for our activities at occur at our Post almost every day. We are one of the most active Posts in the State of Colorado and will continue to be so.

I would also like to acknowledge Billy Kolz, who was elected our Junior Vice Commander.

November of each year is one of our most important months. The month has Veterans Day on the 11th and we, at the VFW, celebrate the day with a Parade and then an Open House. November also sees us hold a Membership Drive where we encourage all our members to find and recruit one new member.

Again, thank you for becoming a member of VFW Post 4031 and joining the ranks of this important asset to the City of Durango and La Plata County.
