VFW Post 4031 announces that we now have an on line ticket capability. Whenever the Post hosts an event that requires tickets, you will be able to purchase those tickets on line using a credit card. The VFW Post 4031 Ticket Booth is now closed as there are no events at present.
VFW Post 4031's On Line Store is open for business.Our first offerings are a high quality First Responders Hat. The proceeds from the sale of this hat are donated to the La Plata County First Responders Support Fund. The second item is a 2021 Veterans Memorial Run Bandana. Check the Store often as our offerings will be updated often.

Margaret Copeland will be hosting a Veterans Thursday Afternoon Social Club (VTASC) on Thursdays, 4 to 6 PM. This meeting is open to any veteran desiring to join the group which meets in a relaxed social situation. Click here to see the Flyer for this event.
Durango's Adaptive Sports Association offers several events this summer which are free to Veterans with a disability rating. These events include the following: August 19th - Local Fishing, September 1 - Local Canoeing, September 9th - 11th - Moab Rafting and Camping. Here is a link to the activity Flyer.
This year's Veterans Car Giveaway will be held at the Veterans Benefit Breakfast on Sunday, October 2nd. Applications can be picked up at the following locations: (1) VFW Post 4031, (2) Elks Lodge 507, or (3) American Legion Post 28. Click here for a copy of an application. Yoga Classes available both on video and in person
Matthew Sommerville is making a series of video yoga classes entitled "Veterans Strength, Ease and Breath Exercise Class". The lessons are available under the Resources section of this website. Youth Scholarship Programs
National VFW has announced this year's Voice of Democracy and Patriot's Pen subjects for this year. The Voice of Democracy Contest is for High School Students. The subject of the audio-essay is "Why is the Veteran Important". Here is a link to our Voice of Democracy Page. The Patriot's Pen Contest is open to Middle School Students. The Subject for this year's contest is "My Pledge to Our Veterans." Here is a link to our Patriot's Pen Page. The deadline for both contests in October 31st, 2022. Our Website Added New Pages
One new page is called Event News and is found under the heading News. This page will contain descriptions of VFW Post 4031 Events and will feature photos taken at the events. The current events covered by the Events Page are the Fourth of July Parade, and the Veterans River Float. Another new page is a page called Awards, under News, which shows recent awards that the Post has received. The third new page is Departmental News, under News, which shows the VFW Colorado Newsletters.
Veterans Benefit Breakfast
The Veterans Benefit Breakfast is one of the most important events that VFW Post 4031 undertakes. The proceeds from these breakfasts directly support veterans in need. The next Veterans Benefit Breakfast will be held on Sunday August 21st between 9:00 AM and 11:00 PM. Breakfast is $8.00. Veterans $7.00. Great food and the public is welcome. Veterans Relief Committee News
The Veterans Relief Committee has disbursed more than $15,000.00 to help needy veterans. The Veterans Relief Committee along with the Elks Lodge 507 and American Legion Post 28 are hosting several events in the coming months .
